  1. Whatever you do, don't modify the Workshop or Workbench scripts. You can make your mod dependent on WorkshopFramework which can give you access to some editing functions that don't break the scripts. Alternatively: F4MS Fallout 4 Mining System I do not know how to script for sht so i was unable to implement this from the resources found here because there are no instructions for laymen. Zorkaz implemented this into Basic Fishing and i was able to manipulate his version into doing my bidding. Look at how the basic fishing chair is set up to see how objects are added to the Workbench. Unlike the above resource there are no source files for Zorkaz's versions of the scripts but you should be able to see how it is done.
  2. I don't know what ALR is so i can't read the mod page for you. Also no idea how you are installing your mods. Vortex, MO2, NMM or manual. One thing is certain though you have an F4SE plugin in your Plugins folder that is not compatible with the version of the game you are playing. I can't find it for you. If you can't figure out which one it is then delete them all and when you reinstall make sure they are correct version for 1.10.163.
  3. It literally tells you exactly what needs to be done right there in the debug messages You have remnants left over from the updated version of F4SE. Sort it out.
  4. This is most likely a hardcoded behavior and probably can't be fixed through game data. Do you use F4SE? If so check out Baka Fullscreen Pipboy F4SE plugin. Chances are pretty good that while they were changing this code they either intentionally or inadvertently fixed the problem.
  5. Most everything in the game that is added to the player is done by a script attached to a quest rather than an object. Have you tried to find something in the vanilla game that functions similarly to adapt to your purpose? If not, that is where i would start and at least you will have something to do while you wait a little longer for an actual scripter to reply.
  6. Meh, I don't know, you can tell your mechanic which parts you would like them to use but you can't tell them how to install them.
  7. You have to be more methodical than that. First uninstall and delete the entire fallout 4 folder in steam and the save game folder in documents I'll assume Steam is NOT installed in Program files. Install the game(download it, do not restore from a backup and get rid of any you might have) and don't forget to setup the INI for mods. Test. Does the updated vanilla game run? Next roll back using a different method than previously tried. If you used the mod do it manually or vice versa. Test. Does the Rolled back vanilla game run? Yes? Backup the game folder now. If you use F4SE, install using opposite of previous method, if you installed with Vortex then install manually this time. Test. Does the vanilla game run with F4SE? If you have made it to this point then there is no reason for mods installed "one at a time"{pressing x to doubt} to cause a crash on startup unless you are not reading the descriptions of the mods you are downloading. You may have rebuilt a mod set you once had but it is very likely that at least some of them are a different version.
  8. Are you sure your new data is being accepted? Have you tested to see whether or not the data is broken after the load. What if it is as simple as the engine loading the vanilla data on the first run and then loading the replacement data thereafter. this theory can be tested by cloning the cell. As a clone it will have no vanilla data to revert to and will be forced to load yours from the start.
  9. Bethesda's official 3DS Max plugin only works with 2013. If anyone has managed to modify that plugin to work with later versions of 3DS max then they haven't shared it with the community at large most likely because they are not legally allowed to.
  10. I don't think he ever had a project that was his alone but TimeSlip was an absolute legend that free lanced all over the community. He had a hand in every major advancement from the script extender to xEdit to DynDLOD and even Niftools. He even filled my request for a program that stitched coordinate named images together and saved me hundreds of hours of work in Photoshop back when I was making world maps out of local maps and LOD textures and he delivered it to me 30 minutes after i requested it. He is likely directly responsible for many of the engine improvements we have enjoyed since Bethesda hired him. He probably has done more for us on the inside than he ever could have here but i still miss him.
  11. I do believe it makes Bethesda better but I still feel the loss here at home especially when no one has come along to replace them. Still missing TimeSlip and Elminster and it's been over 10 years since they poached Elminster and nearly 15 since they nabbed TimeSlip. My hope is that some other talented programmers chose to hobby here in the future. Starfield is going to be wild in 5 years either way so here is looking forward to that.
  12. If you can't reliably recreate the crash then it probably isn't your mods or their load order. Inexplicable and seemingly random crashes are indicative of save game corruption. How old is your save? Have you added, removed or reordered mods on your current save? Before i stopped doing these things I used to mitigate such crashes by stepping back a bit and then avoiding the location where the crashes occurred but the save was never salvageable because the game would just continue to become more unstable. If you are patient enough to keep moving forward then eventually the save will crash on load and be completely unusable. Edit: This assumes you are competent gaming PC user that isn't running of memory.
  13. Just wild speculation but Fallout 4 is Bethesda's first engine to us the precombine rendering system. Now just bear with me for a moment. The precombines break if the data doesn't match when loaded into memory. And if broken the disappearing and reappearing renders are indicative of that break. The elevators are used to mask a loading screen so the cell you are entering is being loaded while a havok animation is playing. It's might be possible that the havok sequence is causing the pre-combine data to mismatch and break during the load to RAM. Again wild speculation but that is what i am thinking.
  14. Voice Acting Club - Forum <----Start here, everything you need to know, including other resources i have not listed can be found here. The Skyrim Voice Alliance - Discord The Casting Call Club - Make a project page to link potential actors to
  15. I don't play evil either...like ever...however i would not want all the evil options removed from the game. There is no virtue in being peaceful if one is not capable of being violent. The way i see it, the more possibility and reward there is for being evil the more righteous i feel in being good. I think the Enclave are evil but i have AR2 installed just so i can destroy them and take their stuff. To each their own though, eh? On Thuggy's Mods They were all built some years apart so that when grouped together they appear somewhat disjointed but Thuggy isn't exaggerating by saying DLC sized. Having all of them installed through several playthroughs i didn't see even half of the content contained in them. It all blends seamlessly with vanilla and while some parts i would call NSFW are present the stories don't revolve around it. It's just flavor like the Witcher for example. I think Thuggy might have been/still is an aspiring screen writer because the dialog in these mods is superb IMO and it shows in the voice acting performances. Those are my impressions for what they are worth. Just talking about it gets me exited to explore some of the quests i didn't get to before.
  16. We can try but we need more than "I'm using mods" First we need to know what version of the game you are running and if you are using F4SE. Then we need to know what mods you are using. I hope you have read all of the install instructions for each mod you downloaded. Do you know how to post your load order?
  17. Fk it, I did it myself. Enjoy. https://mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/4363512
  18. Don't forget Diary of a Madman. Damn I haven't played Thuggy's mods since 2021. Think i'm going to have to reintegrate them back into my load order.
  19. Most definitely my favorite mod ever followed closely by AFT and Convenient Horses. Those three mods are why Skyrim is my favorite game despite my preferences leaning away from fantasy toward Sci-Fi.
  20. Not implicitly. However, there are a great number of real people trying to build a portfolio for voice acting that would most likely volunteer to voice your mod. There are several groups associated with this community that is their sole purpose is to find these individuals projects to work on. It would be frowned upon should you refuse to look there first before voicing your mod with an AI. Now, legally speaking there are no clear laws as of yet BUT if you use an AI to copy someone's voice like one of Bethesda's voice actors, well that is not allowed on this site.
  21. Agreed. I'm still hopeful that now that Havok is no longer proprietary(Microsoft owns it) that Bethseda will now be legally allowed to share it's conversion tools with us and Starfield CK will have them right out of the gate. That would be a tremendous step forward.
  22. To be fair, those that have access to even the periphery of the digital graphics industry will have 100 fold opportunity to get their hands on a copy compared to us regular folk. I have spoken to several graphic artists that have told me about this practice. Second hand copies are so rare to us because they get passed around within the industry. Knowing that, i would take the stance of leaving the onus on the user of said software to be doing it honestly. Of course if someone told me outright they used pirated tools i would be forced to shun their product but otherwise i assume all is on the level and won't be asking anyone for proof.
  23. Like Photoshop the 3DS license is transferable so it is possible to buy a copy secondhand but i haven't seen one for sale in over 3 years and they wanted 700$ for it. So it's possible just not very likely.
  24. I know this is jumping the gun a bit but I'm wondering if this will be scripted in such a way that i could drop some custom music tracks in a folder and play them in game?
