Hear me out here. Mkay? So. Yeah. Shaun is called Father, because he's the genetic code that all the G3 Synths are based off of. And yeah. They took him because they wanted a clean, genetic sample that was rad-free. But. Read the terminals down in Virgil's lab. Where they were doing the FEV experiments. They were at an impasse in the experiments. Same failure, repeatable ad infinitum. Radiation infused victims. And they wanted to terminate the project because they couldn't get past that obstacle. Then enter in the discovery of Vault 111. OOooo!OOOO!!! Let's get samples! Ugh. This is a baby! Why would we want a FEV baby!? We wouldn't have immediate results to see if we got past the hurdle! Moron mercenary! hm hm hm Clone him! Yes! Test on the clones! We can make more! We can make changes, to offset obstacles! We can improve their traits to see how we can advance those with FEV! We can...! OOoooOOoooo. These clones....! They're blank slates! They're CONTROLABLE...! F***! FEV! Genetic alteration, lets go with that! Your thoughts?

The different factions were all set up to present themselves towards different play styles, play throughs, player differences, etc etc. So which one of them appeals to you, the least? Or ones that you just outright hate? It's kind of a toss up for me personally. The Railroad, I like Deacon as a follower. I like Glory, as a NPC. I'd like Desdemona if she wasn't such a demanding she-dog. And didn't have such a single minded, delusional outlook on the wasteland. Tinker Tom... well... ummmm... he can please stay back there in his little corner. P.A.M. hrm. Ummm.... one word. Wierdo! And they have no goal. Only a mission. And it's really not well thought out. I get it. Boston. The railroad. Tie in to mentions in the other games. Execution... big fail, IMO. The institute. Pretty much none of them. And Shaun? If hindsight is 20/20 Nora would have taken a trip to a clinic when that test came back positive. The BoS? There's some chars that I don't like. But then... military regimen isn't exactly my thing. And I really can only play that questline only so far, unless I have the mods that allow you to save Danse, and allow you to usurp that dark side of the crack Maxson. Danse... I like and dislike. I canNOT play the game with him wearing that ridiculous looking headwear. And I don't like him, before you actually agree to join the BoS. I think it's ack-bassword that he is supposed to be your mentor and tutor, but you order him around. I also really wish that in a male playthrough, you could tell him to stop calling you civilian! I get his thing about super-mutants. It's a bit blind, but I get it. Ghouls? Meh. No attachment to them, personally. So it doesn't bother me much. But yeah. Maxson took the BoS into a dark place. Don't like him at all.

Sooooo.... first question is gonna be have you tested the controller with any other games to further verify that it's not the controller itself? Have you checked to see if there are driver updates? Or updates to the software? Have you tried reinstalling it? Here's my biggest thought on it. Have you installed mods that have custom keyboard settings? Or that change the default settings? While they aren't "keys" per se, there is still a keybinding, for the controls on a controller. And mods affecting the keybindings, Could be causing the problems that you're having.

I just want to add this in. Blinx is correct. IF the mods are .esp type file based, or script based (F4SE) mods. If they are just texture replacers, then you should be ok.

What that means, is the path that your browser takes through the internet, from your computer, to the nexus site. Like driving down a highway from your house, to the next city. And it was offered to be used, when I came back. Things can be worked out, even if it means changing some of the info on the account, like the password, and possibly the email address. As far as what they may have to do, that's a technical thing that I don't know about. But don't worry about losing your account. As long as... you don't go doing something like creating a new account without talking to the staff. Multiple accounts for a single user is a big no no here, and is bannable. So yeah... don't do that! ;) I also don't want you to think about having to reset your computer. That's a really drastic measure that isn't warranted for this kind of a situation. So stop that! ;) Have you tried using a different browser? I know that a lot of the site functionality is set up to work with Google Chrome. Myself I like a browser called Opera. Both are very modern, often updated browsers. Hah, well I very much appreciate that Jay. Tho, I'm not being modest when I say that my published mods really aren't all that big of a deal. Ya know.... that's what reminded me of the suicider!!! Because both the characters have it attached to their hand! I just now realized that. There's a video of funny moments in the game. This guy somehow managed to spawn a bear in the opening sequences, of pre-war. Nora, and several of the other NPCs outside the house went aggro, and went after it, melee style. Nora was LITERALLY clubbing the bear with the baby still in hand! mkay, so if that's a clothing item, that would also explain why I've never been able to find it looking for an NPC. While I don't know if it would react the same way as what happened with my little attempt at nif replacement... I Do know that the baby nif can be used as a substitute for other items in the game. Atomic Baby, big fat prime example. (Yes, thats a bad pun). Hahaha, yeah! It was! Very annoying too! I was testing everything I could think of to make it go off. Literally beating a supermutant with bare fists, with that incessant "beeping" going off .... arrrrgh! :laugh: I know that in one case, there was a guy who had made a cage for a mini version of a mobile. In his particular case, the glitch was the boundary settings for the cage. They needed to be reset and adjusted. I dunno if it might be a collision issue with the cribs or not. I am curious, along the train of thought about it being collision.... do other objects drop straight through them? Or is it just the baby?

Seems to me like the US is turning that way more and more and more. maybe... "puppets". With long lengths to their strings. Self replicating robots. Yeah. That's a thought that scares the drek out of me, to be honest!

This game does weird things sometimes when you start messing with the 3d models. I can't say that I have any idea why. Myself, I tried changing the model that the Supermutant Suicider uses for the mini nuke. After I changed the model that the weapon uses, it would no longer blow up. Also showed up at his feet, rather than in hand. But that's a model placement issue. But yeah. Totally glitched it out, no matter what, it woudn't blow up. So yeah, this game does weird things.

I know that the steam overlay has had issues with Win updates in the past. When you are starting the game, are you starting it thru steam? Thru a mod manager? Thru F4se? Have you tried playing it directly from the fallout4 launcher.exe? (If you are running the game with f4se mods, I recommend trying This on a new character, because the scripted mods from the F4se plugins won't be present and could cause savegame corruption issues) Have you checked to see if any other applications have the same problem? Like media player softwares, or browser flash players? You'd said that your headphones are working ok. What about the system's speakers? When the game sound crashes, will other applications still play sound? (Is this local to just the game, or is it a sound driver crash?) This, we call process of elimination :wink: Problem solving 101 :wink: As for mods, I mean... it would have to be mods that replace sounds, or have sound files in them. I wouldnt rule out that a mod may have a file that system doesn't know how to play correctly, and it could (possibly) cause some issues. Have you installed any mods that have custom sounds, or sound replacers since you noticed the problem?

Hullo hullo! Ok, maybe there is a problem with cached files, or your cookies, in your browser. If it's only being affected there on the PC. I'm going to recommend that you flush your browser's cache (small memory files) and clear your cookies. Now, however. Cookies are small data files. Once you delete these out, when you go to other sites, that require you to log in, you will need to do so. Because this will delete out the information that site has for you as a user. Its nothing as serious as it sounds. Have you messed with those at all, or are they running at the default settings? Yeah, sometimes we just don't pay attention. Ok, please don't take this wrong. I'm honestly saying this constructively. If the author doesn't give the approval to post the video you made. I would wait a while. Maybe a week. Especially now in the holiday season. But perhaps post a comment in the mod section, be very nice, polite, and friendly. Maybe something along the lines of "Hello 'authorname'. I'm working on building my YT channel, and I submitted a video to you, of a showcase that I did of your mod. Would you mind taking a moment to message me, and let me know what you think of my work? Share what you think I did right, maybe give me some input on what you think could be improved?" This way, you're not outright asking them... "Why didn't you like my video?" And by asking them for their input, it makes them feel like they are contributing to the process. I don't really think that you should direct message the authors tho. Some of them get bombed by a lot of hate, requests, invites for projects, all kinds of stuff. Their inbox blows up and they don't wanna deal with it. Or they're antisocial and don't wanna answer mails. :whistling:

Heyas Jay. Mkay, so by "Login Issues" do you mean... the issue is that you're being asked to, a lot? Or that there's an issue with you being able TO login? If it's the former, Picky has been posting that they'd been doing some work on the site recently. And it meant that some functions were being turned on and off during the process. It wouldnt surprise me that logins would be a part of that. I got that screen yesterday, and had to log in again. The screen is most likely just a bot protection measure. Either by Nexus itself, or by one of the connections that we go through before reaching Nexus. (Most likely the former, but I can't say for certain). This was with Opera, btw. As for user submitted media on mod pages. That is entirely dependent upon the mod author. As authors we have to approve anything that gets uploaded to the page, before it goes public on the page. The media platform also matters. I know that youtube is what the site preference is, because of functionality that works with both sites. The mod pages, and the forums. So if you're using another host, that could be a part of it.

You're going to end up getting a lot of responses of "Pay the monthly fee, and it goes away". That's not me saying, "Hey, join the club!" it's just me giving fair warning of what is going to happen. As far as I know tho, it's pretty well built into the web page. I don't know for sure do Vortex users see that too?

Ok from what I've read, other people have had issues with this particular boss item, as well as a few others. Doesn't always spawn. Boss farming might be the solution. (IE: if it doesn't drop, reload from a save and try again.) I tried finding it in Xedit, to get the FormID, and that turned out to be a pain in the asterisk! Not found. >:( I did find the formID on a site that I haven't used before. The one I usually use...which is reliable... had it's ID listed as "?????" NOT HELPFUL! I did find it on another site, which... I hope is accurate. You can add this via console command. Copy the text that I'ma put in the code box. player.additem 00140c53 1Open the console with the Tilde key, then tap the CTRL and V key at the same time. That will paste the code into the console. Hit Enter, then exit the console with the tilde key again. You should recieve the item (Assuming this unknown site got the FormID number correct!) You can use this for the other item that you said didn't drop. Open the console, type in Help **name** 4 **name** being part of the name of the item that you are looking for. It will bring up a list of anything that is found with that name. So you may have to experiment with the different item numbers, depending on the item. While I myself haven't had any issues with it spawning, it does appear that these could be random drops. So learn boss farming. If you are playing on a mode that doesn't allow saves, I'd strongly recommend using a mod that changes that. :wink:

Ok, so this is one where I'm really not sure what I'm talking about, so take this with a really big grain of salt. A few years back I tested a mod like what you're talking about. I do NOT remember for sure if it was this same one. I think it was, but again... that was a couple of years ago. The mod that I was trying out, had several different holsters. One that put items on the back, one that put items on the waist, and one that put items on the leg. Check the chem bench, and see if there are other holsters available. If this is a different mod, then I very much apologize for getting mixed up o_O

While I haven't actually used the mod, I have seen videos of it being used. One of the really cool things about Transfer Settlements, is that you can actually See the game putting those schematics into effect. The parts look like they rise up out of the ground. And then put themselves together! It's almost like watching an automated game of Tetris, except in reverse! One thing about Transfer Settlements tho.. AFAIK, the area has to be in the same condition as the blueprint. So for example, if you have a mod that flattens out, say... Starlight Drive In. And then blueprint your work. You need to make sure that the area is flat, when you Use the blueprint on another character.

Heya Daragoth. Ugh. Those darned updates! They are definitely not always friendly! :mad: Especially to gamers! I will say tho, that you at least got off easy, and it was an incompatibility with your sound, not your video or something like that. My advice is to roll back your system to a previous restoration point prior to the update, and then uninstall the update (if needed). ANd then try to block that puppy! I really hope that this helps! PS: After doing the first rollback, I would highly recommend creating a new one, as soon as your system finishes rebooting. Also, if you haven't done one of those before... don't interrupt it. Sometimes they take a long time. It may seem like your computer has frozen up. It hasn't. Sometimes it really just takes a while. Especially during the reboot.
