  1. I presume you are aware of these two mods. Either of these might (might, I say) work with SE. I would recommend trying it on a new character to see how it works. The good news is that neither of these should conflict with other mods (except maybe the upcoming RaceMenu for SE.)
  2. Excellent. However, I would still urge you to upgrade to a 4GB card. You'll be able to add LOTS of texture mods and experiment with ENBs with that much VRAM.
  3. Yeah, that sounds like a possible game install corruption. Try something basic first. Re-verify your game's Steam cache. If that doesn't work, try re-installing your game. You'll have to jump through hoops to keep your saves, but it can be done.
  4. Okay. 2 GB of VRAM is a bit weak with all those texture mods. Chances are rather high that you're simply running out of VRAM when loading into certain cells/areas. You can test this by simply un-checking most of your texture mods in NMM (or whatever mod-manager you are using) in the plug-ins tab. Load back into a save just before the crashing occurs. You'll get an error message about missing content. Just load on in. If you can enter/leave the problem areas now, then that pretty well confirms that your GPU simply can't handle the load. You can either dial back the number of texture mods or get a new, beefier GPU. Unfortunately GPU prices in general suck right now (gee, thanks bitcoin miners) but there are some bargains to be had. Lemmee look.... GTX 1050ti's (4GB version) are averaging $200 right now. A bit less if you catch one on sale. This is probably your best bet if you can afford the scratch. An RX 470 (4GB version) would probably be better, but good luck finding one thanks to the aforementioned bitcoin miners.
  5. NMM has a function to search for all the games you want it to manage. See if this thread helps you any.
  6. I'm only familiar with half your mods. But I don't see any obvious conflicts. Crashing when entering/leaving areas is often a symptom of memory issues. You DO have a lot of memory intensive texture mods. What is your GPU? Specifically, how many GBs of VRAM does it have?
  7. Yep. It's certainly been stable enough for beta status for some time now (with the occasional bug/incompatibility arising) -but it's nice to see it made official. Of course there will still be updates for quite some time I would imagine. Especially with Bethesda occasionally making basic changes along with CC updates. Nearly every time that happens the script extender has to get a minor update to work with the changed code in SE. Don't get upset by this. It happened a LOT years ago when SKSE was new for Oldrim and Bethesda was still making changes/updates nearly every other week. Just something you gotta be patient about.
  8. Some mods have not yet been updated to function with SKSE64. Check each mod's page here at the Nexus for the mods you have to see if new versions (for SKSE64) have gone up. Also, while LOOT is a good thing to have, it doesn't always give an optimum load order. Again, check mod author's descriptions for specific load order information. This is particularly important when using SKSE.
  9. Hey there everyone! Yeah, I know. This thread is REALLY old. But at least I'm providing new content, right? In celebration of April Fool's Day, most of this post is toilet humor... literally: In case you're curious, the NPC's name is "Eric". http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae239/CON-Troll/Dovahkinda/Dovahkinda036.png Every. 10. A green check mark on the mods page (see the tab at the top of your image's page) means that the mod is installed properly, but not necessarily active. Click the plugins tab to see if the mods are actually active. There are a large number of possible problems. You'll need to post more info (for example, mod list and load order just to name two.) But first, you'll need to re-post this thread (or ask a moderator to move it for you) in the proper sub-forum here. You'll get a lot more people looking at it there which increases the chance that someone can help you.
  11. Clean your game cache (through Steam) and re-install your mods. You should be good to go. I advise folks to manually download all mods to their HD and then use NMM (or MO) to install them. This gives you better control when adding mods AND has the bonus that if the mod author ever takes their mod off the Nexus for some reason (sometimes a really weird reason) -you have the mod permanently archived and can still use it.
  12. It's here. Despite the warning by the team that the alpha build is "for modders only" it seems very stable now with most bugs squashed. Just be aware it's still a bit "use at your own risk."
  13. Thanks for pointing out this mod to us! Kudo given.
  14. Thats good advice from Gorsha. If that's not your issue, I notice you have a lot of mods that require a lot of VRAM. What is your GPU and how much VRAM does it have? If it has less than 3GB, I think you might simply be running out of memory when you try to load into an outdoor cell.
  15. Depends on the mods you use. I know that sounds vague, but with thousands of mods available, that's actually the truth. Using mods from two different loading sources can cause issues sometimes due to mods not loading in the proper order in your game. By way of example, back when I first started with Oldrim six years ago (what we call the 32bit version of Skyrim nowadays) I was using mods from Steam Workshop and the Nexus (via NMM.) This resulted in issues with my game up to and including CTDs. I finally got rid of the Workshop mods and started over with just Nexus mods (and a few manually downloaded mods from elsewhere) that were sorted by LOOT and activated by NMM only. tl;dr: Yes, you can. But you might have issues due to load order and conflicts. I don't recommend using both.
  16. Your GPU is plenty powerful. I doubt that's the issue. I think RLO is the culprit. However, the last time I used RLO was in Oldrim. So I can't be sure that is the issue. If it is, removing RLO and it's patches/dependencies might not necessarily get rid of whatever triggered the problem. I presume you don't want to give up on your character and accumulated saves. So wait a bit and see if someone else has a stronger idea of what could be wrong. If no one else can help, here are a few possible options: 1. Try Claralux by MyGoodEye. It's compatible with RLO (with a minor exception, read it's compatibility section) and it allows you to manually adjust individual lighting effects. 2. Press the "nuke from orbit" button as a last resort. Erase your game, mods and mod organizer. Reload everything. However, this time only add a few mods, plus RLO (and perhaps Claralux.) Now go to Dragonsreach and see if the problem occurs again. If not, make a save, exit out and start adding mods. Keep loading back in every 10 mods added to see if the issue suddenly pops up. Obviously, this is a last resort since it's a lot of work and ends your current campaign. So wait awhile before going this route to see if someone more knowledgeable can help you out.
  17. Disabling a mod does not remove content from your data folder. I think you're right about a possible mod conflict. List your mods (that you were using when the trouble started) and we'll see if something jumps out at any of us.
  18. Are you LOOTing your load order? I know some folks say that if you're using MO, LOOT isn't necessary. I think it's better to still use it. One thing that pops out at me is that Lanterns of Skyrim is above the Unofficial Patch. USSEP should always be first in your load order (after Skyrim and the DLCs, that is.) In my own load order, Lanterns of Skyrim is usually around the middle of my load order and always below mods that affect lighting. Maybe that will help you.
  19. Yeah, you're new rig will be great for SSE (and just about every current game out there.) Don't forget LOOT. Best way to avoid load order related issues.
  20. You would probably need to get conversant with the CK and make alterations yourself to get exactly what you want. May I suggest Immersive Armors by Hothtrooper44. While it isn't exactly what you're talking about, it IS the best collection of armors on the Nexus.
  21. Agreed. Can't someone in the College of Magic just conjure up a friggin' hammer and at least fix the bridge? Winterhold has always struck me as something the developers had to rush to completion at the last second. It's just there to provide a backdrop for the college and provide a few needed quest NPCs. Even modders can't seem to get excited about Winterhold, although ETaC (for Oldrim) does a fairly decent job. Hope it gets ported to SE before too long.
  22. Then you should notify the moderators by using the report button. Nope. I consider the report button for use ONLY when someone is deliberately breaking the rules. He didn't break any. I'm just advising him that he will get more help if he posts in the proper forum. In short, I was only helping. (Which is why I also took a shot answering his question.)
  23. Wrong sub-forum. You'll most likely get more responses when you post in the Technical Help sub-forum. But since I'm here... I only have about a third of those mods (In SE) so I'm not seeing anything specific. So here's a general purpose guide that might help you pin-point your issue. (Which I believe is one or more mods conflicting.) 1) Mod Conflicts. If your Skyrim crashes to the destop (CTD) the moment the loading screen appears, it is very likely you have a mod conflict. Add only one or two mods at a time (and test them) to avoid having to plow through dozens of mods trying to find the one that's causing your game to crash. Also, RTFM. Mod authors WILL tell you what other mods (and/or types of mods) that their mod conflicts with. But that doesn't do you any good if you don't read that info before installing. Sometimes a patch is available to prevent a ctd from happening (or to prevent the mod from conflicting in some other way, like overwriting some scenery and causing weird in-game effects like floating trees and Mammoths raining from the sky. (Yes, that happens.) 2) Overwrites. When NMM installs mods, it will often stop and ask you a question like: "Do you want this mod to install (whatever) over (whatever) that already exists due to (whatever)? with about eight different options. Again, many mod authors will tell you what options to choose when installing their mod. When those instructions are not present, I've found it is usually best to answer "Yes to all" or the equivalent answer offered. 3) Load Order. Load order is literally the order that the mods are loaded into your game. This is just as important as overwrites. A "poor" load order will cause lots of issues ranging from weird in-game effects to CTDs. You can manually alter your load order in the "Plug-In" tab of NMM, but there's a better way. Download LOOT and install it. Point it at your directory where your mods are and let LOOT sort them. Not only will LOOT give you a better load order, but it will warn you about mods that need "cleaning" of dirty edits in them. And you can do that with TES5Edit. It's quite simple to use. However, be warned that some mods have INTENTIONAL dirty edits. Cleaning those mods will likely break them. How to know? Simple, the mod author will warn you if his/her mod has deliberate dirty edits. 4 SKSE. SKSE is short for "SKyrim Script Extender." Many popular mods use really cool and helpful interfaces like MCM (Mod Control Menus.) These mods require SKSE to function. Download SKSE and watch Gopher's video (linked in the description at the SKSE site) for what SKSE does exactly and how to install it. Don't worry, Gopher explains it clearly and concisely. Note that SKSE64 is currently in Alpha. However, it is a very solid alpha right now, so that is probably not contributing to your ctds.
  24. I highly doubt you're running into graphics memory issues with 8 GB of VRAM. More likely you're having a mod conflict. Try disabling (not un-installing, just disabling) all your mods except the unofficial patch (which I presume you have) and your DLCs. If your game remains stable, re-enable 10 mods and test again. Keep doing so until you crash in that area again. Now you have it narrowed down to a handful of mods.
  25. Mod organizers allow you to manually change the load order. For example, in Nexus Mod Manger, click on the "Plug-Ins" tab, click a mod, then simply click the up or down button to manually adjust the load order. Most mod organizers also allow you to simply mouse-drag the mod to the desired location. Your RAM is more than enough. If my memory serves (no pun intended) a basic 750 has only 1 GB of VRAM, while some second-party cards (and the ti version) are 2 GB. Either way, I still suspect you are running into memory issues. If you have access to another GPU (friend's or family member's) and you know it has 3 GB or better of VRAM, ask them to borrow it for a few minutes. Put it in your rig and see if the issues persist. If not, you need a beefier GPU with a minimum of 3 GB. 4 GB would be better.
