mawkishdave Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 I just broke out Fallout 4 again because the wasteland seems nicer than outside right now. I watched a few youtubers talking about mods and found some I wanted. Then it went on why my game is running, having to change the load order, etc. I am not that great at this but I worked it out. I think it would be nice for a youtuber or anyone to make an account here and make a package you can download. It has all the mods they are talking about and the load order right. This I think would be a nice premium account feature and maybe a way to get some money to the people who are making the package.
DoctorKaizeld Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 mod packs are currently not allowed for various reasons. Though a mod list thing is in the works currently don't remember the ETA on that though
Ethreon Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Who's stopping you from taking all those mods and making your own private and personal mod pack?
BlackRampage Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 maybe a way to get some money to the people who are making the package.A you kidding me? What about the authors of the mods that get included in such a package? Don't you think they deserve infinitely more recognition then some dude who spends maybe half a day piling mods together that took weeks or even months to make? That's just insulting.

Don't be silly... obviously xxxKnobGobxxx_69 making s#*! videos on YT is far worthier than MAs are.

They only see the last link in the chain, so naturally that's where they will put the worth of what they received. Users have had to search for mods and install mods and so understand the effort and time required to make a good setup, naturally, they will value if that is made easier by modpacks and youtubers sharing lists. They haven't had to make mods since they've always been given to them, so not only they have absolutely no clue of the effort or time involved (so how could the author expect them to value the mods fairly?) but it's also not "saving" them anything. Therefore, less, or even zero, perceived value. At least that's one way to look at it. Edited April 3, 2020 by FrankFamily
JimmyRJump Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Troll topic to start the modpack controversy all over again...
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted April 5, 2020 Community Manager Posted April 5, 2020 I am going to close this topic as it's already starting to get derailed. We have a modpack/mod list/collection system in the works but we are not able to provide more details at this point.
