Hello everyone,

 

Well some of you may know me, some of you may not. I am project leader of TES4 Valenwood. Right now we really need some Modelers and Texture Artists.

 

Here is a couple of things that we need done:

 

Weapons:

Armour:

 

LIGHT

Centaur Bark Armor

And armor used by centaurs, it is light and made of bark strips specially treated and hardned. The manufacture of it is forbbiden by Bosmer taboo, but should a Bosmer slay a Centaur and take its armor, it is fine. It is very light, and somewhat protective; the light-weight is the key.

Silvenar Rider Armor

This is the armor for the riders of Silvenar, the guards of the city and escorts for its chief. The armor is made from white leather, bronze and silver. It is stronger than generic leather but not exceptional, it is however beautiful and very durable.

 

HEAVY

Camoran Steel Armor

-the steel armor of the Camorans is an ancient style influenced by the Ayelieds, it is steel yet more durable though only as protective as normal steel. It is rather ornate and was for guards. Though heavy in design it is strangely light for a heavy style armor.

Bronze-leaf armor

-a long lost clan of Mer made this sort of scale mail that immitates leaves. It is made of bronze, light, and decent protection. Not much can be said about the armor but it appears to originate from a tribe of Ayelieds as some was found in a Ayelied tuins of some sort.

CREATURES

 

The Imga:

 

Here is my idea on how we can create the Imga:

 

Put the troll skeleton upright, take away the third eye, do a re-text. And we can have our first playable race So is everyone ok with this/anyone want to attempt this?

The Great Apes of Valenwood

 

The Great Apes, or Imga, are native beastfolk of Valenwood. They see the High Elves as their lords and masters, and as a portrait of an ideal, civilized society. Great Apes go to desperate measures to emulate the High Elves: they wear capes, practice with the dueling sword, and attempt to speak with perfect enunciation and courtly manners despite their gravelly, baritone voices. Each Imga bears some kind of title, be it Baron, Duke, Earl, or the like, which they use when addressing the members of the Thalmor (needless to say, there are no landowning Great Apes). More extreme Great Apes shave their bodies and powder their skin white to seem more like the High Elves. They often cut themselves in the process, creating the truly pathetic picture of a naked white Ape, skin dotted pink with blood, strutting around the trading posts of Valenwood with mock nobility. The Imga feel that humans are beneath them as lesser beastfolk, and pretend to find their smell exceedingly offensive - a Great Ape holds a perfumed corner of his cape to his nose when Men are around. General MODELS:

Silvenar medium home, Again amber, the base was probably marble before it got covered, so look for some IC inspiration, this one can be a retext

 

Silvenar small home, make this one oval shaped, when applying the texture, try to include some vines, that goes to all the above.

 

Other misc: Roads, bridges, anything else found in a city, can be re-texts, but appropriate ones, You can retext the cheydinhal small brigde with amber but make it visible that it was once another colour.

Oh and how could I forget, we also need clothes.

 

It mentions the natives wear bones. So maybe a re-text of a shirt, make bits inbetween transparent, for the bones, white with some brown to show decay. For uper bones multi coloured ones, for middle just plain white, and for low much decay.

 

Also camo clothes, that the bosmeri use for raids when they drop out of the trees on unsuspectiing victims (yes that is going to be included, we also know how we are going to implement this so do not fret, just thought i might mention that.)

Afraid to tell you, but most of this stuff isn't possible yet. While weapons could be done by one of the 10 or so people who can do the modeling... provided they have time. The armor would probably need 3-5 more months of development on the tools before it could be done, unless you just want retextures of standard models. The interiors would probably require the same sort of tool developments made, no idea on how long those would take. The creatures at this point are 100% impossible due to both having to make a new mesh, something that isn't too well supported. And then having to add animations for those meshes which cannot be done in any form currently.

 

That said, it's fine to ask, but there are only a handfull of people who could actually help you. So keep this in mind when you don't get a response for the next month or two.

Well, there is some benefit in having the models all finished when the plugins become available. Once the models are done, it's very simple to export them into the desired format. So there's no point in wasting all the time until it's finished, might as well get a head start on it.

 

Strange that interiors aren't possible yet... animations I can understand, but you'd think that those would be the easiest thing to do. What's keeping them from working?

 

 

Oh, and I'd be one of those few modelers (I think there's a bit more than 10) who could do all that stuff. But unless you're offering money, I don't have the time for more projects.

I believe the main thing keeping interiors and exteriors from working is collision data. You can't set it within the models yet (as far as I know) so it would all have to be done with collision boxes inside the CS.

No, there is nothing keeping us from making interiors with collision. We are affilated with Silgrad Tower, and they have made custom interiors with collison. We have people working on houses right now, and some are almost finished. Also we can use existing animations for some of the creatures, if not all.

Maybe I can help. I have texturer skills and some blender skill too. If you want me to try to skin somethig, just tell me.

Bravil buildings need to be re-textured to redwood.
