aarchieee Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Ive tried to add a room onto a pre-existing house in game but no matter whati do, when i go through the door into the room it wont render until ive gone a couple of paces in. Up until that point, there just a grey void. Ive run out of ideas. Ive tried putting a collision box at the seam so the engine knows there is something there, the two floors (tthe original and the new) are perfectly aligned on all the axis, ive tried seperating the rooms and putting a corridor beetween but then the corridor doesnt render. Just as an experiment i laid a rug in the doorway over the seam so it was equally in the 2 rooms and the rug didnt render. out of ideas now. Thinking now that i may just have to use a teleport door/marker and have the room as a sepearate cell and do it that way. Any ideas ?
dafydd99 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Sounds like csbx has hit the nail on the head. Try turning on 'portals and rooms' in the show/hide pop up, to see if they're being used in that cell and follow the https://ck.uesp.net/wiki/Room_Bounds_and_Portal_Basics and the https://ck.uesp.net/wiki/Bethesda_Tutorial_Optimization pages. 1

Thanks guys! You are both MVPs. With a bit of study, (thanks to you pointing me in the right direction) its now working But i gotta say, room markers, portals, what a f**k around ! and so my modding journey continues. 1
