New UI - Aesthetic feedback

This seems to brick a few things; does it need to be updated?

Main game pages have huge 'trending mods' boxes that scale based on page width (wider = bigger).  The text for them is misaligned too, overlapping other elements.  May be due to change to flexible width here, as the individual mod pages are still fixed width.

Any chance to get the the color scheme of the whole page more back to how it used to be?  No more deep black anywhere.

Also the font, really evident it's different (worse) with the old style in the mod preview text.  Not sure what it was, have to go back on archive.org..

The misaligned text in the 2 big trending boxes happens because the devs used the same text rules between the title text in them and the description text in the mods browsing page. Because i had to use fixed height for all description boxes to avoid dynamic height ( i deeply hate to have boxes with different heights ) this affects also the title for Trending mods which is a little higher and depending of the background image can be not too pleasant. This can be resolved disabling fixed height on mod description boxes. Also if you disable the "Fast Downloads. No Ads" banner the author name text for the other 4 small Trending mods become overlapped to the bottom elements. I had to use a trick and hide them behind the banner so don't disable it.

Edit: i was lucky to find a solution and fix the problem with the Trending mods text alignment.

Get the fix in my post below.

it's overruled

In that case, try adding !important before ; in every line you want changed. And if you want some more classic colors, take a look at my CSS (Accessibility feedback, page 5). Can't claim it to be a perfect replica, just adding stuff to one of the pylonexyz edits.

Nexusmods Rewind - old UI for Stylus (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/styl-us/)

Fixed the bad alignment and overlapping of Trending mods text elements on Main game page. Banner is also now hideable.

Autoinstall the theme update with Firefox - paste the orange text in the address bar ( make sure you already have installed Stylus before paste )

Sorry if this has been mentioned, or if this is the wrong spot to mention it! I did try to search first.

Could you PLEASE bring back the dates under the image thumbnails, when browsing images? Both when browsing images from any user, and also when view images from a specific user? If you are gone for a week and want to check for new images, you have to click each image or image set to see when it was made, wasting site resources. If the date was under the thumbnail like it was before the new UI changes, you would know!

This is made even worse because of the way Nexus combines notifications for multiple updates for a specific user, and then the user deletes/replaces an image. Before notifications were combined (a long time ago), you could go directly to each image and if it was gone, it would tell you. Now it dumps you onto the users profile, and without being able to see the dates on the thumbnails... it gets confusing to figure out what is going on.

Thanks for your consideration! 😎

I know there are a lot of comments about the new UI.
The survey is a good thing (I choose List View of course 😋 )

But I don't know if this is mentioned before, but it's about the top bar.
In general on sites where the main content is centred Like on Nexus), the menu(s) are either also top centred or on the left or right sides.

In the old UI that's lined with the content that is below it. This is very easy to navigate and use. It's in 1 line and is logical to see and use.

But with the new UI, the top bar is split in 2 on the left and right. And then the content below it, is centred. This is way less easy in view and use. Let alone if you have a wide(r) monitor?
It could be that my slight OCD is kicking in here but it's just not handy.

Simple suggestion, when you guys update style/theme of mod pages and site maybe implement the option “Styles” or “Themes” that will keep the old and new styles of the site and allow us to choose which one we prefer.

Couldn't agree more with this..
