AndalayBay
If you use LOOT to sort your load order, it will tell you which mods need cleaning. Wrye Bash does too. Even the DLC's need cleaning! And the CC content. As usual, I have a Cleaned DLCs folder where I store the clean versions and install from there when starting a new play-through. Dirty edits are so easy to do that mod makers need to consciously clean their mods before release. If they don't, then you'll need to do it. The only time I don't clean a mod is if the author says the dirty edits are intentional and are required for the mod to function.
Moksha8088
Is there a list of mods that will not work after the Next Gen Update?

It depends if they use BA2 files or not and if they use F4SE. F4SE has been updated but the mod would still have to be updated to use the new F4SE , I think When you see a mod thats been published well after the date of the update April 27th i think then often it will work on new game version unless stated otherswise. subaverage
5 hours ago, Moksha8088 said: Is there a list of mods that will not work after the Next Gen Update? I believe most of the mods are meanwhile updated. An example for a not updated one is this: "Looksmenu Player Rotation" https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/62872 and I am not aware that there might be an alternative. This mod is important enough for me not to update (despite all other problems that update might cause for me).
fraquar
No list, you just have to do some research. Subaverage above makes the perfect point though. Indispensable mods that haven't been updated mean you don't update - period. Only the user can determine what is indispensable. ------ Know why it requires NG. If the only reason is the .BA2 - that can be fixed. If it's because the mod author hasn't or won't update an F4SE mod to NG - then no dice.
363rdChemicalCompany
PS: For what its worth I (game version .163) am still using and enjoying the heck out of, Armorsmitth Extended and AWKCR without any issues.
fraquar
That is the point - whatever floats your boat. For me? I like to have as close to realistic gun play as possible Put 'Ur Gun In - forces you to holster your current gun before equipping your switch gun. Fake Through Scope - removes the zooming of the entire worldspace - just the inside of the scope zooms. Scope HUD Rangefinder - puts a distance to target HUD in your Binoculars viewfinder (or scopes if you choose to add them) - without requiring a plugin patch. ---- 3 mods that pretty much tick that box of - once I've gone there I can't go back.
WishkahKid
Sorry , the latest update did nothing for PC users. it was for console users. On PC it broke mod's period. Many old mods I use broke. The people who made those mods moved on in life and are gone. I bought the GOG version and got rid of the Steam version because of this. Did the same for Skyrim. I've been through this since the beginning, with every update, I've grown tired of it. I've had enough.
