HeyYou Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Repeat offender at that. Maybe he feels he hasn't been punished enough yet for his 'feelings' about children......

This is the type of genius we frequently see, it always baffles me how long it takes for them to get bored and go away. They could be so productive if they used their energy for something else!

Their main obstacle in RL: They feel intellectual superior than anyone else. Which is in 99% an illusion. 1

They don't seem to realise that it takes them far longer to set up another account than it does for a moderator to ban them, they think they're making things difficult for staff but they're really not, I don't know about now but we used to be able to bin people in less than thirty seconds.Â

Wander on over to the Starfield forums on Steam..... We have trolls there that have been the for almost two years. Steam doesn't permanently ban people, just gives 'em a vacation, couple days up to a month..... but they still come back. That level of dedication is absolutely astounding.
JimboUK Posted June 6 Posted June 6 A forum I moderated many, many years ago had an alternative to banning called "Send to Coventry", it hid the offenders posts from everyone but them, they'd carry on being obnoxious blissfully unaware that no one could see their posts, it had the added bonus of them not creating a new account because they didn't know they'd been moderated, it worked really well, after a week or so of being ignored they'd get bored and move on. Yes a few worked it out when they browsed the forum while not logged in and the resulting meltdowns were hilarious. For those unaware sending someone to Coventry is a UK idiom for ostracising someone. 1 1 3
0xC0000005 Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Another obvious creep: As a side note, you can no longer see the names of the mods that the users posted on. Previously clicking on the reference links would show a page that had the name of the mod without the post content, now it just shows an access denied page. 1

I can't even imagine being that dedicated to anything, let alone trolling! I don't have the attention span, I'd be a terrible troll because I'd get bored after like 2 days.
