I agree with some of the posters points, just, not the way he presented them..... I don't use the unofficial patches, as he does indeed make changes I don't agree with..... I do NOT, however, go off on a nut, and a campaign of harassment against him. That's just stupid.

He's also not just a "him".  There's a team behind the Unofficial Patches and decisions are made by the team.  He just takes the heat for being the lead and face.

I use the Unofficial Patches a lot in fact it were the first mods i downloaded.   Because i can agree with their intentions/arguments. But like everywhere else in RL there can be other opinions with good arguments.  

Perhaps the reason that those people think women have deformed bodies is they haven't seen a nude one in their real life?

 

Like Middle age people believe in savages in Africa with their eyes and mouth in their chest without a head?

Yah, I've been using the Unofficial Patches almost since the beginning.  Between mod dependencies and definite bugfixes, I find them far too useful to not have. 

But I also understand some disagreements with them too.  Some changes are very much judgement calls of "Is this a bug or oversight, or was it meant to be this way?" that reasonable people can disagree over.*  I wouldn't be surprised if on some bug fixes, reasonable people can disagree over whether the implementation was right.  And though I'm running a current version of SE with no plans to downgrade, I do wish they'd kept a "last old version, unsupported" of the SE patch visible for downgraders -- though I can also understand why they don't. 

 

* Like NPCs whose stats don't match their gear and abilities.  Many of them are genuine oversights where the devs never got around to setting them properly.  But some are likely deliberate, given the NPC's characterization and backstory.  And some could be reasonably argued either way.

Indeed, IlComico always seemed at least a little off the deep end to me.  Even when he(?) made reasonable points, he'd assume the worst motives too quickly.  Plus he often wrote like a cryptic prophet, making it hard to follow him far enough to meet him halfway.  I figure if you've got a point to make, then make it -- don't bury it in riddles like it's the Book of Revelation.
