The default option puts the staging folder in a Vortex folder and then in a game folder. So you end up with one Vortex folder on each drive that has games being modded. That's not clutter. And it has to be on the same drive as the game in order for the deployment method to work, so a "universal" folder would only work if you only have one drive with games...in which case they're all going into that single Vortex folder anyway.

Pedant time, but that is the Vault Boy. Pip-boy is the wrist computer.

That's not the image in the first post.

What they probably want to avoid is inevitable confusion amongst newer users when there's an Oblivion and an Oblivion Remastered and a Fallout 3 and a Fallout 3 Remastered and a Skyrim and a Skyrim Special Edition and so on. Box cover images tend to have text and more distinct images whereas a helmet can be confused a lot more easily.

Vortex needs to be ported as a native Linux Application
showler replied to DarkScepter's topic in Vortex Support
They're already designing the sequel to Vortex which has native Linux support. -
So, "The Builder" is a Collection. If you disable a mod in the Collection you need to be sure that no other mods in the Collection depend on that mod. You should also, after disabling the mod, right-click on it in the Collection and choose the "ignore" option so that Vortex doesn't try to re-enable it to "fix" the Collection.

Cute. But not accurate. There's a takedown forum because of what the developer wants. Mods get taken down on the regular for breaking the terms of service that explain what the developer wants. And since a lot of mods exist in a grey area, having a developer be annoyed at Nexus Mods could end up with entire sections of the site shut down for not paying attention to what the developer wants.

auto mod purge seems to happen everytime I click deploy mods
showler replied to Fractalbase's topic in Vortex Support
To add to that, newer versions of Vortex are supposed to correctly detect and deal with the apparent conflict, but only if you reinstall the problem mods in that newer version. -
You can't enable the files together. You need to enable both mods, but Vortex will choose one version of the file to install. I suspect it's just a script to enable you to turn on and off the lights in the two player homes. Since the script probably makes unique aliases for each the same script can be used for both of them. But I'm no expert I'm just going on past experience.

Delete or rename the Vortex folder in your user AppData folder. That will wipe out all of Vortex's stored data.
-
They changed it a while back. You can change your default search in your settings.
-
They're both by the same author, so either they completely conflict and a merged script will be needed...or they are identical and it doesn't matter which one wins the conflict. I don't think the author's around anymore, but you could ask about the conflict on the mod comments page and see if anyone else has tried it. Or just try it yourself.

Make sure windows isn't adding tme .TXT suffix to your filename.
-
Completely unnecessary. Both games already have a section and there is already a TTW tag to narrow searches.

Wabbajack doesn't have to pay for the Nexus Mods site to keep working. You either pay for Premium or you view the ads. Otherwise the site shuts down.
-
That's what the Premium account does.

They do allow sound-alikes and re-cut audio. Which is why they explained their policy on AI generated voices in a news post. They recently said they don't plan to change it.
