  1. OP, currently the easiest way to find the mod related forums for the game you're actually concerned about is to click the "forum" link in the upper right hand of the Nexusmods site for that game, it'll take you directly to that game's specific subforums and you can repost there or hopefully find an existing topic that will help you. Good luck.
  2. Not that I'm aware of. It is possible to have a friend on Discord that's not on both Nexusmods and the forums but the forums and the mod site are intrinsically linked, if imperfectly at times.
  3. In order to set it so that you have to approve a friend request before it shows up on your profile you need to go to edit your profile from this side (the forum side) there's a box under the "profile settings" tab in the "friends" section. As for managing your friends once you've got them you can do it in your preferences as well under "ignore."
  4. I believe there's a glitch that makes Nexus mod avatars take a while to refresh from your forum profile and there's nothing to be done about it but to wait a bit for it to pick up the avatar you have here.
  5. The only time Nexus takes a mod down when asked to do so by an an outside party, Bethesda included, is when that mod is a copyright violation. For that to happen with a mod available on Nexus, the uploader would first have to obtain the original content off of whatever site the original creator uses to share and then upload that content in whole or in part here, someone would then have to download the mod, realize that it's a complete or partial rip and launch requests for removal. That's the procedure. Period. That doesn't change whether or not it's a free mod that's been infringed or a paid one. If someone sees a mod on a marketplace, is inspired to create a new mod that fills the same nitch and even looks damn close to the original but doesn't rip off or reuse any of the inspiring mod's content - that's not grounds for removal. This procedure is unlikely to change in near future so relax.
  6. Already done, do a search on the mod site for "body mods" and you'll be spoiled for choice.
  7. Nothing for it but to wait and see. Ways this could not suck: more and better quality quest mods that add hours of gameplay to the games we love and actually see those modders that put in that kind of time and effort (usually at the sacrifice of other areas of their lives) get a little financial compensation for their efforts. Ways this could suck: Utility mods that other interesting, varied, and sometimes quite small, mods depend on being curated only and therefor kind of mandatory to those that really want to indulge in their mod use obsessions. Desperately needed graphic enhancements with hefty price tags. It'll depend on what kind of mods and how many modders end up curated but at this point it's too early to panic.
  8. It's a port from another game originally so unless that game has open permissions for porting or you've also obtained permissions from that game's devs, then no, it's probably not allowed to be posted here.
  9. Oh I'm so sorry I misrepresented your numbers in ignorance that really throws everything else I had to say right out the window. I can see it's a point of pride and it's obvious I hurt yours if that's enough to make everything else seem completely unimportant. The old chat wasn't capable of supporting more than 40 or so people without suffering horrible lag. That doesn't mean more people didn't want to use it, simply that it wasn't possible to really accommodate those numbers. I'll give discord that, it definitely hasn't flinched with numbers growing ever larger and never seeming to decrease despite people needing to do things like sleep, eat, work and go to school but I'm sure that's just me being ignorant on how the chat works again. You thought the old chat was full of cliques and lots of unnecessary reporting but you want the new chat to ping you directly whenever there's an issue and this is somehow going to increase your enjoyment. I don't see it at all but it's your baby raise it however you want. Just don't be surprised when some people think your kid has no manners and they don't want to spend any time with it.
  10. Yes the old chat had trolls - it also had staff working hard to elevate the problems pretty much around the clock. The new chat has the same problems as the old chat, magnified by additional numbers and while staff appears to be there seeing what's going on but not actually doing anything about it. Old chat yes has it's issues but if staff was present when someone was being a troll they didn't need a report to take care of the issue. And I'm sorry but when I'm in chat specifically saying that it's an unpleasant environment with all the trolls and staff stops by to say "hi" but still does nothing that doesn't really make me feel more confident in them but yup that's my fault for not knowing how to report someone or that I should be doing so every time there is an issue. If I'm going to have to report every troll, spammer or harasser I see in discord then I'm going to need to know how that works. So tell me how to make a report from discord that's not connected to nexus? The profiles aren't connected to nexus so I can't click their avatar to make a report and their usernames can and often are different, not that it's possible to search nexus for a user by name either. If I report them on discord what, exactly, does that do? Yes I'm very aware of the old spammer that came back to chat many many times, usually you can spot them by their love of "eggs" so shall I report every user that's seems to have too much interest in ovarian edibles or wait till they hit me with the cp? So far I have no indication that they wouldn't just have a field day with discord as I have not seen a single kick or ban and have had no indication that either would be permanent the way they are on Nexus, if users can just change their name on the fly how do bans even work? What are the consequences for a particularly heinous ban in the new chat here? Are there any? Or is it a great place for people who are unsatisfied with a modder to hop in spew some threats knowing their account here is safe and they can continue to utilize the sites resources incognito? Up to this point I've tried to use reports for direct rule violations only (of which the new chat seems to have none) so pardon me for not knowing I should be pinging you every time someone posts an objectionable link or says something offensive. Yes you're right, I've already stated I won't be using it not because I don't like it but because I have no intention of going for a friendly chat and instead wading through the cesspool that is humanity without a filter on the internet - that doesn't mean I shouldn't point out it's problems in the hopes that they can be fixed and I might return. Of course so far I'm not seeing any indication that you care about any of these issues so I guess I'm just tossing cold water on your new toy party. Party on (I guess).
  11. So far I haven't seen anything about discord that makes me think of it as a success. Except maybe that it supports more trolls and lurkers at once without crashing than the old chat does. Can't even remove my account there - you have to wait for it to go "inactive" which takes days leading me to think much less of the "900-1000 users online" in a day statement. How many of those are people who signed in to take a look at the new features, came across a troll spouting off something unpleasant or spamming the main room with porn and then popped right back out again never to return?

  13. I think I'll stick to the site chat. Discord is entirely too unmoderated and while the new features seemed fun at first they're mostly unnecessary or distracting.
  14. For speed concerns please post here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2230934-nexus-download-diagnoser-speed-test-reports/
  15. Go to the mod site for the game you want, look in the upper right hand corner and click the "forum" button there, that will take you to the subforums for that game quickly and accurately. Then all you have to do is figure out which subforum most likely relates to your question.
  16. Forum chat button still goes directly to the old chat with no new options. I think the only way to get to the new one is from the mod sites. Is there going to be a way to preview who's in chat so you can tell if your friends are online without having to go through the trouble of logging in and checking every room first?
  17. People can make a compilation if they want to. However they need to get permissions for every mod used in it before they can release it here and generally it needs to be flawless on any system right out of the box. People take one look at the amount of effort it would take to create one and suddenly it's not something they want nearly as much.
  18. When reporting ads you should screencap them and then use the "contact us" feature at the bottom of every page. Not the forums. However Tarshana is right, Nexus does not, will not and has never had any adult ads. If you're seeing some (especially the on click type which again is not something Nexus does) that means your computer is likely infected with something you got someplace else. You should run your virus scans, malware bytes, spybot and ccleaner.
  19. Pretty much this. Nexus doesn't preemptively put up pages except for a few games. If the modders who created the files want to host them here they can upload them and a Nexus site specific to that game will then be created. They do it this way so that modders for a specific game don't feel obligated to host here if they don't want to and so that when a new game is released a site can be created as fast as someone can make a mod for it and upload it here.
  20. You're going to have to either get your data folder out of the trash or reinstall all of your mods - one by one. There's no short cut.
  21. I don't know about mod organizer but typically yes you have to install each mod  Downloading isn't installation. As for them overwriting each other, yes that's likely a possibility though it's rare that it's actually a problem. If you pay attention to the installation instructions you'll know if there's certain overwrites to look out for and avoid.
  22. Unless you're using racemenu (and then only for the PC faik) body tattoos are controlled by the overall body texture, so you'd have to modify the texture to display the tattoos and then (I think I've never really checked) your Dremora will have the tattoos - but so will every other male character in Skyrim. You'd have to make the Dremora use a custom body texture in order to keep all the other NPCs from getting the same thing.
  23. Why are you posting twice on the same topic? The PtB tend to frown on spamming a question like that but at least this one isn't annoyingly highlighted in blue. You're relying on NMM a bit much. Try typing the name of the mods with the exclamation mark into google and see if they're actually missing or not. Even if they are missing on the site that doesn't automatically mean they stopped working, just that no one else will be able to get them. In some instances this makes you a very lucky gamer because people are always finding out something they want is gone only after the fact, if you like it make a backup and make sure to keep them safe! As for your game, crashing before the menu is usually a sign of a missing master of mod conflict. It's a simple enough problem to solve with so few mods. The following is standard trouble shooting for issues not pinned to an obvious source, verifying your game files through steam is only step 1 aka the easy step. First - have you verified your game files through steam and updated to the latest patch?Second - uncheck all your mods, start a new game, save after the chargen. This will be your 'tester save.' Do Not Overwrite or Delete this save.Third - Enable five mods.Four - Go into game with your tester save. Run from one end of the game world to the other. Go into a few cities. Interact with a few things that are related to your problem. See if anything crashes/doesn't animate properly.Five - No sign of problems? Repeat 3-5. It crashed or something's not right? Go to step 6.Six - something not right? uncheck one of the five mods then go back to your tester save, repeat step 4.Continue until you have found and fixed your error.
  24. *Sighs* I'm going to answer you one more time. This second post makes it much more clear that the problem you're having isn't with NMM but it's with the Nexus mod site. There's been a lot of slow down with the sites lately probably because of the redesign (if you haven't learned to check the site news when you encounter a problem consider this another free lesson). So what you'll need to do is download the mod manually (hit the download manually button) put it someplace you can easily find, then open up NMM and drag the folder/rar/zip/7zip onto NMM it'll add it to the "unsorted" category but you can then use NMM to install it regularly. If you still experience infinite loading screens on the site even downloading manually, try again another day.
  25. They still have it. But as with most things they've moved on to a new game already.
