Try following the steps here to reproduce the issue and send a report to staff. 'Side from that, you can probably also post a screenshot here and someone will come around to provide assistance.

How nobody has done this?
somerandomsheepthathops replied to ElRusoMods's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
Is this what you're looking for, by any chance? -
You have two options in this instance. You can contact the moderator/administrator in question directly and discuss the matters at hand via PM. Or if you feel it necessary, you can PM a community manager or administrator. Though I believe attempting to come to a resolution with the forum moderator in question directly would be more prudent before escalating matters. You can also follow the instructions Here.

Mods arent working right

I'm sorry, before I attempt to offer suggestions, I have to ask: "violate mod"? Please do not tell me that means what I think it means. -
Why are multiple accounts so banned
somerandomsheepthathops replied to Rabbit1251's topic in Site Support
At least partially, it ties into matters regarding vote manipulation and bypassing strikes or restrictions applied to an account. If you are given formal warnings for your behavior, the people running the show don't want you to simply be able to create another account to bypass that and the restrictions put in place. Same deal for if you are banned from accessing files from certain modders. Matters of vote manipulation are part of it too. Someone with multiple accounts can download and endorse their own work in an attempt to boost its rating and visibility, putting other people's work at a disadvantage. Plus it's easier to handle matters when everyone has just one account. No giving formal warnings to eighteen different accounts tied to the same person because he broke the rules on one of the accounts. (This is pure speculation on my part. Some of it coming from seeing examples of people doing what I mentioned in the banned accounts section over the years.) -
I implore you to contact one of the moderators or administrators regarding this issue. Creating another account and making this public will not end well. All banned members are logged here. If you don't see your old account name, contact support and inquire about what happened. It could very well be a software glitch or an error that was made.

Good for you

What mods are you running? Do any have master file requirements you do not have? That was a guaranteed crash to desktop immediately for other Bethesda titles. If you have not already, take your mods off and introduce them slowly, the newest ones first if the game worked fine before you added something recently. That way you can isolate what mods may be causing your problems. Is your game up to date? If you told Steam to not update it, or do not update your game for any reason, you should do so and see what that does. Try verifying the files. If anything is corrupt or damaged, Steam will automatically redownload the borked files.

Downloading is screwed up
somerandomsheepthathops replied to DoggOward's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
This is a site issue mate. Your best bet will be to fire off a support email, or create a posting in the Site Feedback section. I can't offer much help aside from the (more than likely) obvious, but have you tried using a different browser or different device? It could be a browser related issue. Try a different browser (If you have one), private browsing/guest mode (Chrome), or turn off any extensions you may have like noscript that you may think is the culprit. If you have cookies set to be wiped automatically, or outright disabled, re-enable them and go from there. -
For future reference, you'll want NMM Support or NMM Discussion. Both of those places can give more help. Unfortunately I canned NMM for Vortex months ago, so my memory is hazy; but if I recall right, you can find your NMM directory in either your Program Files folder, or in Appdata/Roaming under your username. There, you should find your mods contained as Zip files. Copy and paste those to another hard-drive for backup.

Screwed Up Uninstalling Mods
somerandomsheepthathops replied to Eaglehaven's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I'm not sure how this could occur, but look under your Data folder in your Fallout 4 directory, then delete the mods there manually. That should get rid of them. -
I'd recommend taking this to the Vortex Support Forum. If there are no issues downloading through other means, something is up with Vortex, rather than Skyrim. Plus, that section's pretty active. Just to be sure, check your settings, downloads, and make sure the option that says "Handle [Download Button] with Vortex" is enabled. Seeing something about fixing it on Chrome(?), if you use Chrome, close it out, and click that in Vortex.

Not finding anything in the NVSE Commands, or the Gamebyro Command list from the wiki; but, if you are open to the usage of mods, there is the Sack of Holding. It does what you're looking for, when you use it (AID item), it'll open up a portable container that can store anything, with zero weight costs from the stowed gear.

How To Unistall And Remove A Plugins
somerandomsheepthathops replied to D3modex's topic in Vortex Support
Go under the Mods tab and hit the uninstall button on the right-hand side of your mods. Removing the mod alone will delete its files but keep the archive. Removing the archive takes all of it out, zip file and all, meaning you can't reinstall it until you download it again. -
That, and if the thread in question is a particularly old one, don't necro it. Start a new thread for your question.

Towards the very bottom. Here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/2769-known-issues/ or Here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/439-open-beta-feedback/ You can also try Github, that's where the current version is being updated and supported as well.

Aye, Jim_UK is correct in all regards. For mods you are interested in, you can ask on there. Just please ensure the author has not already addressed this question before asking.

Aye, happy to be of help! And thank you, a friend made it for me years ago :) -

Get a good repair skill and get Jurry Rigging ASAP. You can do stuff like using a Varmint Rifle to repair a Trail Carbine. Otherwise, yeah. Repair high-tier weapons when possible, and then sell those off. A hunting shotgun held together only by scotch tape 'n dreams will net you about 328 caps (did for me at one point recently), whereas a fully restored one can sell for about 3799 at face value. They're hard to find and make, but Weapon Repair Kits are also a god-send in this regard. -
Yeah, hit the Install Vortex button, then scroll down. It'll link you to the latest unofficial version of NMM.

Even if downloading were fully disabled, it's two extra steps. That's all. How is a mild inconvenience forcing you to change to Vortex exactly? They didn't force an update out that bricks NMM and makes it unusable, they aren't forcing us to download mods through Vortex only, or making us download it at the threat of being banned, or revocation of most access privileges. Pretty sure Dark0ne isn't planning on blackmailing or intimidating us into switching over either; to use an admittedly childish & banal example. I've still used it even up to a few days ago for Fallout 4. I admittedly had no idea NMM download was still supported (I stopped using NMM downloading months ago), and just took the two extra steps. The program still worked just as fine in all other regards and I never felt pressured to go to Vortex. The program is still receiving unofficial support, and probably will for a good time to come, and you can still get technical support in the Open Beta Forums. Long story short, we're not being forced, no matter how much you say otherwise.

We could use some more info on the issue. Are there any error messages you see when you attempt to launch the game? Does it happen immediately on start-up, does it take a few seconds to boot you off, or does it happen when you attempt to load a save? I haven't used Vortex before, but it is a possibility that perhaps it has installed a mod improperly. No Mod Manager is perfect, issues can occur I suppose? For the second part, if you are asking if you need to download mods via Vortex now, no. You can download mods manually and install them that way if you were so inclined, just drag and drop them in your data folder, or if Vortex is like NMM, you can add the mods' .7z/.rar archives to your mod list from your local files, and let Vortex do it for you. My gut instinct tells me this is an issue of a missing master file. You may have installed a mod that requires either the DLC, or another mod for it to work. Because that master file is missing, the game is crashing on start-up. If that is not the case, some new mods you added must have caused issues, or, you may need to verify your files and see what that does. The nuclear option, and perhaps your safest bet if you're in doubt: remove the mods, verify the files again (I do that anyway), then reinstall them bit by bit to see if you can isolate the issue. I don't follow. Something's gotta go it sounds like. You can play the game, you just need to start removing mods, and determine what's causing your problems.

For the first time in years. I win. I still won the first post on the 1000th page, so I win forever :)

I had this bug aswell and I was going f***ing crazy to find out what was causing it. My character was holding melee weapons and fists as they were guns and 3rd person melee combat was totally broken. I couldn't attack, block nor move properly. I'm so f***ing happy I've found this thread even if there was no solution, but, it helped me to find out that it was indeed a faulty weapon mod with custom animations. In my specific it was the "Smith and Wesson 500- 50 cal. revolver". Damnation, are you serious? I just uninstalled my game because I could not figure out what was causing the issue, that was one of the only mods I installed manually, and THAT was the mod that causes this issue? It wasn't just that, but 80% of the enemies had the same issue. They wouldn't fire their guns or use melee weapons! :wallbash: Well, thanks for the info at least. Definitely not going to bother adding THAT one back then.
