  1. Long time Fallout 3 fan, new... time... Oblivion fan. Just jumped on the Oblivion bandwagon a tad late in the runnings. Now I'm lookin' to mod it to oblivion and back for a best-ever playthrough. I'm obviously going through the top 100 list of mods, while randomly looking through the vast list of random mods you awesome fellas have made over the years. But knowing the Fallout 3 mods I know there are a whole lot of "essential" mods that fixed an annoying bug, or simply awesome mods that got overlooked or overshadowed by other, more awesome mods. Does anyone have a list of awesome, gamechanging(read; bugfix that none else did or some such) or simple neat mods that have seemingly been forgotten by time? Anything is good, really; Armors for a thief, better graphics, immersive mods, etc. Ow, I'm getting the GotY Edition Deluxe from Steam, so I'm getting all the delicious addons. Would this cause any problems with mods?
  2. Yes, you could rip the sounds from FNV to use in F3. You'll need the FNV equivilant of FO3 Archive, find the tunes, put them into your F3 folders, and... somehow link them to the desired action... which I do not know how to do... I do know you should totally check out Radio Stutter Fix if you haven't already! Quote; Do you suffer with stuttering radio songs? Do you wander the wasteland in silence because the radio is unbearable? Well suffer no longer with the Radio Stutter Fix! Shameless advertising of lifechanging, yet forgotten mods...
  3. I got my hands on both o' the textures. Contemplating uploading them now, seeing as they're ridiculously hard to get these days and Skykappas wishes that his mods stay alive.
  4. Shoulda mentioned that I did at a later time. Still didn't find it. Furthermore; the downhill area has a place where Raiders meet Enclaves or some sort of enemy to them, so a fight will almost always ensue in that area. I reckon some lucky sob got it and used it, then got de-spawned (?) as I went away, then upon returning with Dogmeat he had respawned sorta with a new set of inventory. They do that don't they?
  5. First time ever was on PS3, I got it when I first found WKML Broadcast Station. Anyone whos been there can tell ya theres a steep side on the other end of it, with tons of raiders everywhere, so of course that damn UFO went Boom in the middle of the air, scattering all the debris out over that downhill area. I never found that damn gun.
  6. Well theres your problem! I'm thinking most here play on Hardcore, where a stimpack would be about as useful as in real life.
  7. In the end, everything you'll ever do is worthless.
  8. As far as I know, he had them planned but never released. You sure you had them? Also, the Aqua Cura thing only have a crossed out P replaced with a C, and the Holy Water got something along the line, so just editing the nifs should do? Not that hard, get paint.net and give it a try. I know I will now that I think about it, them bottles bothered me greatly. Oh and you'll have to make them replace the vanilla textures, which I still haven't learned... Update; Found pictures, Aqua Cura and Holy Water, now the hunt for the textures begins...
  9. I always find myself killing them these days. I mean, I have the drop on them and the game sorta just expects you to go up to them and talk to them, even though everything you've heard about them are bad things.
  10. While I agree that it would've made a helluva lot more sense to mine the entrance instead of having to keep a constant watch over it, their whole history is basically "Lets blow stuff up!" so I'm fine with them bombing the place with heavy artillery instead. Not that many have entered their place and theres clearly been a reputation circling that they shoot heavy for anyone who tries so most just simply don't go there on rumours alone. Also, they arrived there something around a few decades ago, not 200 years ago (thats when the war started, wasn't it?). They found an immense supply of artillery shells in one (or several) of the storage rooms. You can see a lot of the shells in the place with the ants for example. Wouldn't that be a nice rep though? "Go here and we'll rain down artillery so heavy you'll feel honored to die in it!" Makes ya wonder what they're keeping for the real emergencies, y'know? Kinda like they treat the artillery like we treat mines, I wonder what their "well trained sniper" would be... I certainly wouldn't have gone anywhere near a place with that rep. Unless... y'know... House asks me nice enough to...
  11. Wouldn't the fact that that guy at the beginning warning you about the boomers bombing the place, and giving you the note on how to get by it imply that someone else got by at some point? But when you get to the gate they say you're the first to make it and you're "chosen" ...
  12. Have ya tried blowing yourself up in a way that causes you to go ragdoll? Use a grenade or other explosive forms to blow yourself up, then try to save. Worked for me.
  13. "I shot this animal with one of the best weapons in the game, and he died after three shots, pffft, unrealistic." Three shots from a sniper rifle will take down most anything y'know? I had a far worse time getting him down, but I kinda went in that cave without any sort of motivation other than "ooo a cave!". Is there some sort of quest related to killing the legendary types? EDIT; Also, from Fallout wikia; "The Legendary deathclaw is the strongest creature in Fallout: New Vegas. It is found at It is by far the most powerful in the game, considering its ability to ignore damage threshold, its own very high DT, and that it is capable of dealing enough damage to kill even some level 30 players in one hit. " Sounds pretty legendary to me. ;)
  14. If the price says something like "999 caps worth" next to the stats of the item then that means that is the maximum you can get for it, ofc, you gotta be a good barter to sell it for that price.
  15. Oh boy, that prone shooting pose sure does bring all the boys to the yard. Its just a pose, from Some Poses (NSFW images in User Uploaded) and its never gonna be made into actual firing postions. Because.
